Pictures:
Matt Matt in the days of Multidata, sometime in 1995.
Bill Bill hard at work in the good old days of Multidata. Circa 1995.
Abshiedsfeier The Abshiedsfeier was the departure party for the Geothe Institute, where we studied German Language for the month of October in 1997, in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
Bronk! We got a little far afield and Bill forgot to switch to four-wheel drive.
Blocks in Holland This was a kinda kewl pier in Holland. I don't know where they find these huge, perfectly formed cubes...
Waldwanderung Bill and three pals from France, while on a Waldwanderung (a walk in the woods) at the Geothe Institute in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, 1997.
Classmates Here are my classmates in Grundstufe Eins-C (ich denke) at the Goethe Institute, 1997.
Fertig Fahrad One bike tour too many!
Flat Poor Bill is always getting flats. I just can't convince him that thicker tires with some tread are better.
Grenoble We had this lovely view while descending into Grenoble, France, on our way to the French Riviera in 1995.
Hops After riding through miles of these crops, being the botanical experts we are, we finally agreed that they must be hops. In case you cannot tell from the photo, these things are 20 or 30 feet tall.
The room at Hotel Atlas This is the first place we stayed, in Frankfurt, 1995. Quite a tight fit for two people, two bikes and luggage.
On the Inn Occasionally (like maybe a couple times a day), we lose our way and before we know it, the road has vanished. Then we merrily carry on (sometimes literally with our bikes over our shoulders). 1997.
Kirche Bill was very enamored of Churches on our first trip in 1995, so we always stopped to take some pictures and interfere with weddings and funerals.
Map Consultation Bill is consulting the map, not that we are lost or anything... 1997.
Mountains Let's see, we should make it over those mountains, today. 1995.
Narrow Street I think this is in Esslingen. A nifty little street.
The Path Indirect Germany has lots of great bike paths like this one.
Liegestutzen We do pushups to keep the upper body in balance and as a friendly competition we occasionaly sneak in a few more than the other guy. As you can see, Bill doesn't go down quite enough to call it a real pushup.
Hotel Rotel Hotel Rotel in Passau was quite comical and very small. 1995.
Am Rhein Here is the Rhein. 1995.
